Editing Help

March 25th, 2011
I want to be able to edit words out of an image. For example in the picture below, if I wanted to edit out or at least blur the word Anchored, does anyone know if I could so using Gimp or Photoscape?

Thank You!

Thank you for the response! Unfortunately, I do not have the paid version of picnik and I do not see this option on the free version. I will keep that in mind though in case I decide to upgrade. Thanks again!

If you wanted to blur with gimp you click on the teardrop (blur/sharpen). Select the blur at bottom under convolve. Then click over the area you want to blur. The heal tool would also work (it's band aids in toolbox).

@mej2011 > you can use copy, get a small portion of the white area near the word and paste it on top of what you want to be erased. You can copy and paste the whole area or you can do it in small details which makes it "fun". Blending would be the key so I suggest, copy the area closer to the word to have less time blending it. This works on any editing software. Hope it helps :D

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will try these techniques and see if I can get any of them to work the way I want.
