August 11th, 2011
As some other people mentioned in earlier discussions, "view large" never worked for me. I would get only a portion of the picture. I would try it from time to time though and it never worked. As I also seem to recall, I think the problem may have been limited to people using Macs. Anyway - it's working for me now, so if you had probs with it in the past, you may want to see if something's been changed (either in an update from Mac or a correction by Ross) - so that it works for you too. Some photos are so enhanced by being able to enlarge them.

Oh, cool. Thanks, Ross!

Nope, still doesn't work for me - I thought perhaps it was related to whether you're an Ace member or not, whether you can see the whole photo!
August 11th, 2011
@sarahhorsfall Nope - I've been an ace member all along. It's working consistently for me now, when before it never worked.
August 11th, 2011
@sarahhorsfall @reba I don't get the whole pic either when I view in large, the bottom is always cut off.
August 11th, 2011
I've always had problems with it too. I do remember a litle while ago though someone mentioning how to get to view it large, maybe pushing one of the F buttons on the keyboard. Can't remember now though. :(
August 11th, 2011
@reba So you can scroll in magnify? Because I look at 365 on 4 different computers, and the scroll doesn't work on any of them. One is Windows 7, one Mac, 2 are XP.
August 11th, 2011
@coolgirlsar - yeah, whatever that was, I tried it and it didn't help me. @5unflow3r - Yes, now I can scroll in magnify and I was never able to in the past. Sorry to have caused everyone all this upset, because I guess something changed for me - but not generally.
August 11th, 2011
@reba LOL I think that the person who wrote the code for the scroll probably is using the same type of computer and operating system that you are using. So they test the code, it works on their system and so they assume that it works for everyone. That's my theory anyway, :-)

If you press F11 on a windows computer while the picture is large, then you will be able to see the whole thing without it cutting off the bottom. Hope that helps :)
August 11th, 2011
@cally THANK YOU!! F11 works!! Finally!
August 11th, 2011
@skyepurls Heehee you are welcome :)
August 11th, 2011
@cally Not necessarily! My screen is small enough that while F11 gives me an extra inch or so of viewing, it does not show the whole image. :-)
August 11th, 2011
@5unflow3r I believe that's a problem of the screen size rather than the viewer or your operating system and you're stuck with it.
August 11th, 2011
@reba At work I have a large monitor--same issue. :-)
August 11th, 2011
I always view on F11... the only way to see the whole picture but if you're browser is Chrome you can also zoom out a tad.
August 11th, 2011
@5unflow3r Oh, ok. So if it's a PC, you've tried the F11 at work? And you've tried it again at work since it started working for me (making me think something had changed? I'm thinking you are right - the code works for some but not for others and I've just been lucky to become one of the systems for which it works.
August 11th, 2011
@reba Just tried it in Safari, and F11 worked better there, but in IE and Firefox, it's the same....doesn't show the whole image even in F11. That's here at work with my 17 inch monitor. Are you using Safari?
August 11th, 2011
@reba Hehe, typing at the same time. LOL
August 11th, 2011
@5unflow3r Yes - I am using Safari.
August 11th, 2011
@cally Thank you! That's the one. And it works. :D Now to engrave it on my keyboard. :D
August 11th, 2011
@reba So I think that the designer must be a MAC user that uses Safari. :-) So when this comes up again, we should just tell people to get Safari. :-)
August 11th, 2011
@5unflow3r I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 17inch laptop so :/ I don't know why it doesnt work for you!
August 11th, 2011
@cally I guess it is what it is. LOL
August 11th, 2011
@sarahhorsfall I'm an ace member and I only get to see the upper part..no use in using this feature.
August 11th, 2011
@5unflow3r re: when this comes up again, we should just tell people to get
Safari. :-) - - - yup, I think we've about covered it. LOL.
August 11th, 2011
Could it be the size of your monitor?
August 11th, 2011
Im using xp, windows 7 and vista(i know is sad). They all work find for me. I also go back and forth between chrome, firefox and IE8. What i would suggest is to update whatever browser your using to the latest version.

I'm using a Mac with Safari. The magnifier button cuts the bottom off. F11 decreases the volume. However, holding the command down and tapping on the "=" sign, magnifies for me. Weird part is that I can scroll down but not across. [Note, you can make it smaller by tapping on the "-" instead of the "=" sign.]

It does it for me too and i always supposed it had to do with the size of the image or maybe even how it was downloaded/saved after editing ? In looking thru different photos the ones in whose exif info you can read all the camera settings, those ones were cut off whereas the ones where the exif info only shows the image size, those photos i am able to see all of the shot. Wonder if saving for web option will fix that. Going to go experiment with that now........
August 12th, 2011
nope saving it for web does nothing to help with the problem. I wish i knew more about computers =P
August 12th, 2011
still not working for me :( I only see a portion of the photo still... can't scroll down to see the entire photo.

It has always worked really well for me. But recently I only see the same size as the photo on the main (un-enlarged) page. I have always used Firefox. Suddenly it does not work. I note from doing an experiment this evening that Internet Explorer and Chrome don't work for me either. So this does not seem to be just a browser problem.

@reba - Just to add my experience in here -

I am using a MAC Book Pro.

My problem has been that when i clicked on the magnifying glass i got a teeny picture!

Every image i uploaded was 1000 pixels wide which on any other website i put it was.... well... 1000px wide when viewed at full size but on this website came out teeny!

I am now uploading 4000 pixel wide files (about 3.6MB file size) in size and now when i click the magnifying glass i get a decent picture size!

Hope that helps if you were having the same problem.
