Video feature of the Canon T3i

I'm looking for help I'm trying to use the video feature on my new T3i and I've disabled the "video snap shot" timer but yet every time I start filming the camera video tapes for only a few seconds and then a message "movie recording has been stopped automatically". I understand that in some cases this will happen if the memory card does not have a fast writing speed but my indicator level is only going up to 2.

How big is your SD card? That can have an effect. Also possibly the brand - some are better than others. I'm using a 16gb class 10 transcend in my 500D (i think that's the T1i?) with no issues.

For recording you need at least a class 6, I believe, otherwise yeah you'll get cut off after a few seconds as the camera's buffers will be full.
