I not have good camera, just handphone nokia 2600c with VGA camera. I wonder, have you tell me some link or artikel that i most read for technique using VGA camera on my cases.
I take pics from my iphone 3g sometimes (which is a vga quality cam) .. and I think its all dependant on the light and time of day you take the picture. You can fix alot of things in picasa or whatever editing program you use to maximise the impact your photograph will create. At the end of any day its how you show what you see through any lens/camera.
Best tip for camera phones, more light=better photos. For the rest, they have their own charm. You usually always have them with you, so you get many more photo opportunities. Try focusing on interesting and unusual subjects, and the quality will be less important if the story behind it is very interesting and unusual.
