Hi, I am new to 365 and to photography. I have always loved these kinds of look and feel to photos. Does anyone know basically what are done in editing software to achieve the drama in these style of photographs? Do these style of photographs have a style name? Good light, off-camera flash, and good post-processing, is what I got out of the first two minutes. That big reflector you see is a Lastolite Skylight reflector - retail about $700 iirc. The first location light you see is an Elinchrom Ranger. You can get a two-light Ranger or Quadra kit for around $2400. I'm quoting Australian prices, so USA would be a bit cheaper by a couple of hundred bucks.
In editing, it's lots of curves and levels adjustments, usually masked (brushed in where you want it). Fairly simple stuff, but it takes a lot of practice.
I know. I am sure I could have found a better source of pictures. I just really love the style of editing they are doing. Makes them really cool and filled with drama.
