No edit, just lighting and angle.

@shadesofgrey I saw your comment to ronphotography regarding searching. I just don't know what you have to do to search for something. on the farthest right top corner is a search rectangle and when I type something in it there seems to be no post button...am I missing something. reply is appreciated.

@bruni enter your search term & hit enter on your keyboard.
You then get 3 options on the left, 'Photos', 'Users' & 'Discussions'
Click on whichever tab is appropriate to your search & hey presto, there you are :-)

Kez
I had a crack at it a while back. It's just a matter of getting the lighting right :)

Good luck!

@bruni type in your search words and hit enter. I noticed @sburbidge has already answered the question also! Be sure to explore all 3 tabs, you never know what you'll find.

My nephew did a similar shot in a dictionary putting the ring by the word 'love.'

It's often done in a Bible near 1 Corinthians 13 or in the Song of Songs ....

I just did mine with candles at the start of my project..I googled it and thought "I reckon I could do that" and well here's the result

Can I ask a really stupid question???

How do you get the ring to stand up????
September 14th, 2011
finally i was able to replicate this ring shadow!

@sbb1980 yeah it's hard to get the ring to stand up, just a matter of patience, mine stood after a few tries.

@veekay i tried mine with a flashlight as it's easier to move around, thanks for the tip.

@marilyn good idea to put the ring shadow on the word 'Love' =)

I did mine with a flashlight, but focused my 50mm lens on the words "So ought men to love their wives" I actually couldn't get my rounded ring to stand up on its own, so I used a hot glue gun and glued a small piece of wire to the bottom of it. The hot glue popped clean off when I was done.

Yes, that's actually a good question @sarah Byrne. How do you guys manage the ring to stand up? I guess I'm gonna have to try it for myself to see it.
