I read an article online the other day, and the guy in the article editted his EXIF info to include his name and whatnot so if his pictures showed up on Google, it would notify him. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I think it would be amazingly handy, especially considering I take photos for work quite often that do occasionally get stolen.
I have it set in-camera. The Copyright byline even shows up when an image is uploaded to Facebook, even after editing, and even if all handled through someone else's computer.
@jinximages Im not sure if i have done that, in my camera menu i selected image comment and added my name etc and it doesnt show up on the pics ( I read how to do it from a ken Rockwell guide) is this what you mean when you say you have it set in camera? I have never seen it on any of my exif info. Thanks xx
I just had a play from a Ken Rockwell guide and it shows up under the Comment section of your exif info if you right-click>properties in Windows. Did you select the check box and then press done afterwards? Cos if you don't press done it won't save apparently.
@wormentude Yes i did select the check box, i dont use windows i use picassa and/or lightroom 3. My menu shows that image comment is on and attach comment is set. I will reset it just to make sure ive done it correctly. Thanks for the reply xx
@tori3012 There's a field called Copyright information. But essentially, yes. It is set using the software that comes with the camera, via a computer (not via buttons on the camera).
@jessicaelaine It's built into my Canon Camera software. When you go edit or look at the EXIF info you can add it there and save from your computer on every picture if you wanted to.
@monicar Unfortunately, I bought my camera used and it didn't come with the software. I tried installing some stuff off the Canon site and it didn't work. But thank you!

Thanks! :) I'd never heard of TipSquirrel. Sure I'll learn a lot there.
