My grandma, who is AMAZING, gave me enough christmas money to almost buy an SLR. I'm leaning toward T3i cus I do YouTube videos and the flip screen would be very helpful. This wuld be my first SLR. So it's kind of a big deal.
I've always liked Nikons but Cannons seem better for my films. Should I cross to the dark side?
Checkout the YouTube clips done by DigitalRev. They shoot it with the 600D/T3i. I have the previous model and find it harder to shoot video. The flip out screen does make it simpler at certain positions.
If your focus is going to be on video, then the best value for the money would be a sony with the translucent mirror. If your focus is going to be on photography, then I would stick with canon or nikon.
