Castle Ashby Winter by dizzyd

Castle Ashby Winter

Spent a pleasant couple of hours strolling round these lovely estate grounds today. After all the winter sunshine we have had this week it was a shame we chose today to visit Castle Ashby again: but despite it being a dull & chilly day I still managed to take loads of photos which always makes me happy !
Beautiful, I love the house being in the distance, then the bare tree with all the leaves in the foreground, works well Helen

@365anne Thank you so much for the great comments. The 'leaves' in the foreground is impressive beech hedging that frames the grass really well.

@gijsje The house (castle) is the ancestral home of the Marquess of Northampton & is not open to the public. I can only imagine what wonderful treasures they have inside !
