Famous cavalry officer in Barneveld, NL. In 1482 troops from other parts of Holland enclosed him in the church tower. The besieger would accept Jan's surrender, if his men would trow him off the tower. He didn't want to get his men in trouble and jumped off the tower.

@myhrhelper Thanks! The statue is standing so close to the church and for the story I wanted him on the photo together with the tower concerned.
