Unexpectedly travelled to Auckland for the day today as my daughter had some medical tests and I didn't want her going alone. I didn't take my camera with me so this photo was taken with my iPhone when I noticed the early morning sun rays while looking out of the plane window. I have enhanced the colour somewhat to make it look more interesting.

She has had kidney problems since she was 12 so nearly 20 years. Lately it has been a real struggle, and yesterday she definitely needed me with her. The 25th January is the 4th date for a transplant (her 2nd transplant) so I hope it happens this time. She is receiving a kidney from her brother. I think the CT scan was to make sure she has recovered fully from the peritonitis that cancelled the last two dates.
