We planned to go to Wanaka for the evening and as we got there just before sunset, we went to visit the 'tree in the lake'. This is probably the most photographed tree in the whole of New Zealand. There would have been at least 30 photographers there, all set up with tripods, etc. The amazing thing though was this piano player, playing the most beautiful classic music as the sun went down.
@islambad It was sitting on a kind of frame with large wheels so he could move it. Big effort for the guy. Hopefully he earned a bit from it, but I certainly didn't have any cash on me. Would definitely have given him some if I did because it was the most incredible music!
Wow that is a bonus... gosh the lake is very low.. @dide and I were there a couple of years ago and witnessed a young girl drop a lens into the lake ... he father was not very happy...
@fbailey No he is actually there! No photoshopping LOL @julzmaioro Yes the lake is very low. Golly I'm not surprised the father wasn't happy!! @dide The pianist made it rather magical - he was there again yesterday too. @777margo@dawnee thank you! @yorkshirekiwi Thanks Carole - I have just added another tree shot - probably a more usual one! @jgpittenger@lynnz@redy4et Thank you so much for your comments. @islambad Haha - no not a film crew - but by lots of other people, it really was rather crowded! @paul10 Thank you Paul :-)
wow that is just brilliant, amazing that you got to get such a lovely shot despite all the people there, or do they actually stand back so you could get a clean shot?
