Stand of pine by dkbarnett

Stand of pine

Yesterday afternoon I drove up to Auckland taking my son's model up there for him. Tomorrow is going to be the big day for the presentation. I left late afternoon so for the first part of the trip the light was lovely. I came around a corner and just had to stop when I saw this stand of pines with the light just hitting the trunks and not much else.
Lovely light on the pines and the cattle really show how tall the trees are

Really nice. No wonder it takes us photographers so long to travel anywhere!

Love the light on those tree trunks! Before 365, you might have driven past without a second glance, right? I would have.

Theclight make the trees look like a dramatic backdrop to a great piece of theatre. You inmediately get the height of the trees. Lovely.
