Fantail and Kentia seeds by dkbarnett

Fantail and Kentia seeds

In the last few days there has been a couple of fantails that have been flitting around the outside of my kitchen window. This morning I took the time to get my camera. It was still quite dark and very wet so I had to push the ISO really high to get this. He is sitting on a kentia palm.
Great capture. I could be looking out of my window here, except I'm not quick enough to to capture new the shot

He looks cold. Maybe that's what slowed him down long enough for you to catch him - they can be so fast. It's a great shot of him.

@yorkshirekiwi They are so quick aren't they - I was lucky though - this one kept coming back!
@hermann I love the shape of them - kind of like a robin!
@littleconnie @pdulis Thanks :-)
@gq Fantails are lovely - they are so friendly, or seeming so. Really it is because they want to hunt the insects that are disturbed by people!
@paul10 Thank you Paul
@wag864 Thanks - I think that is partly the rain on the window!
