The highest mountain in New Zealand. After we had snow all day on Saturday, on Sunday we awoke to lots more snow but also the clouds clearing. We were lucky enough to see Mt Cook as well. We spoke to a camera man who had driven up from Queenstown the previous night (even though the road was closed) especially to get snowy footage for TV1 weather on Sunday night.

I think you said you know a doctor there. I am so far behind in responding to comments! I can't remember if I told you that we did meet a doctor there! The place where we stayed the lady had suffered a slight stroke that day and the doctor came to the house to attend to her! There probably aren't too many doctors in Twizel!
