What nicer place to visit than thermal springs on a cold winter day?!! I have never been to these thermal springs before but it was so lovely and I definitely recommend a visit. They are also creating some silica terraces - man made structure, but the water over it is depositing natural silica. I think it is such a cool idea. The famous pink and white terraces (one of the wonders of the world) that were destroyed in the Mount Tarawera eruption in the late 1800s were created naturally that way.
What a beautiful photo of them. I went there once a very long time ago and had such a wonderful visit. It didn't look like this back when I went though.
Looks like a place to put on the "to visit" list. Love the way you don't actually see the people until you look right into the photo. They all look very relaxed...
@kiwichick I was really impressed with the springs - the pools were lovely and the grounds were lovely. No kids allowed under 14 years too - which made it nice and peaceful! @jamibann Thanks so much. @yorkshirekiwi it would be well worth the effort - I loved them. @robz Definitely should go on the list. Yes the long exposure has made the people a bit blurry and subtle. @paul10 Haha - it felt as relaxing as it looks - a fabulous place. @777margo@elkereturns@littleconnie@merrelyn@jgpittenger@elisasaeter@mccarth1 Thanks so much for commenting. @gamelee Well worth a visit. Maybe one day?
