Reflections and Ghosts

I wasn't having any luck finding a shot I liked on this gray evening, The mist rising off the pond looked promising, so I crouched down to see if I could catch it. Suddenly the reflections appeared - they were not visible from standing height. I think the leafless branches behind the evergreens look like ghosts.
Very Nice Shot! Patience paid off!

It looks beautiful and unusual with this almost monochrome colors.

@equinoxe I think this is another shot I am going to take in different weathers. It was really that gray today, but I can see it in my mind's eye on a sunny day with the wax myrtle (the shrubs on the left hand bank) in bloom. Fortunately, I'll be able to line it up, I was standing by a distinctive spike in a decaying retaining wall.

What a good place to stop and look. You must have been on a bridge or the shore and recognized the beautiful reflections!

It's very beautiful. I do like the grayness. Interesting that there were no visible reflections until you lowered your pov. Cool.
