manual portrait

My get pushed partner challenged me to "capture a portrait of someone close up using manual camera settings only controlling depth of field to blur the background and shutter speed to control light"
Nice job, especially with having such a light background. Usually the subject comes out much darker without additional lighting on them.

Hi, Diane, I'm your get pushed partner for this week. I saw some wonderfull portraits of animals in your album and you have an eye for details. What do you think about shooting a landscape? I'ld like to see a landscape that is typical for the place where you life. Have fun. If that isn't okay for you, please let me know.

I think you did a great job especially having the light blinds where they are. Sometimes that can completely put a face in shadow, but you can still see his face! Nice portrait!
