"Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me..." Psalm 43:3a by dmrams

"Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me..." Psalm 43:3a

Day 8-I snapped this picture while Eddie and I were headed to the grocery store. He was driving and I was taking pictures of the beautiful early evening sky. Then when we crossed the railroad tracks, I took this one. I know it's a little blurry, but I love the light at the end. It reminds me that God is our light and He will guide me through all my trials and tribulations, if I only choose to follow Him.

Today we started a new Sunday school lesson over some of the Psalms. Today we discussed Psalm 43--it was a great lesson. Then I took a 2 1/2 hour nap!! I NEVER take naps because I always feel too guilty to sleep--like I should be doing something productive--but today I was exhausted!! It sure felt good to sleep for awhile.

Trevor's new job didn't last very long. Unfortunately, the management wasn't very honest. He was told he would only train for two hours yesterday and instead they made him work seven hours with no break or dinner. He worked from 4:30 until 11:30 pm without stopping. When he spoke to the manager about it, the man's response was "and is there a problem with that?" I normally do not believe in quitting something you start, but I also believe that you should be treated with respect at your job. Trevor, his dad, and I sat and discussed it and felt he can find a job where he isn't being lied to and will be treated better. He was also told he would receive a certain % of the tips and that changed to much less as well. Anyway, lesson learned, and we pray he finds another job that will be better suited for him.

Today I'm thankful for....

1. a new bible study
2. being able to take a long nap
3. I get a break tomorrow from school---attending a training at another school
4. lessons learned the hard way
5. people who are honest and upfront
6. God being the light in my life
Beautiful picture. You have to stop feeling guilty about naps! :) I put them on my to-do list every day! :) So sorry to hear about Trevor's job. It's good that you all agreed for him to quit. I hate it when employers are dishonest. I wonder how that guy keeps employees.

Oh yeah, you gotta follow your heart AND instincts. Sounds like your boy was being played for his youth and inexperience. Sad.

Lovely photo, I like the sense of a journey in it. Sorry to hear about Trevor's job. I agree though, any member of staff needs treating with respect, regardless of their level. Good luck to him finding a new (and better) one.
