She's Now A Teenager!!

Day 113---Today Miranda turned 13!!! Her day started with Eddie cooking her favorite breakfast-chocolate chip pancakes--- and serving them to her on the Special Plate!!! Then after church Eddie, the kids, and I met her dad, step-mom, and her grandma (her stepmom's mom) for lunch to celebrate her big day. She opened her presents and ate some cake--which was delicious by the way! :) After lunch, we went shopping so she could spend some of her birthday money and I bought her a pair of basketball shoes that she has been wanting for awhile. When she was going to bed she thanked me for a wonderful birthday and then said she wanted to stay up all night so she could make her birthday last even longer--she wasn't ready for it to be over!! :) I'm glad she had a special day because she is so very special to me....

Today I'm thankful for....

1. Miranda
2. the entire family being able to celebrate together
3. being blessed with my three teenagers
4. being able to wear pants I haven't worn in at least two years!!
5. a terrific weekend
Happy birthday

I am always so impressed at how you and Miranda's Dad have made your children's lives so secure and filled with love with obvious respect for each other. You are an inspiration to so many.

@allie912 oohhh thank you Allison--what a nice thing to say--you made my day :) we have always tried hard to get along for the kids' sake because we know it makes a difference on how they are able to deal with the divorce---- through that effort Tim and I have managed to remain friends despite everything---plus a lot of prayer sure does help :)
