Meet the Newest Gator!!

First of all, I want to thank all of my 365 friends for your encouraging words, prayers, and support yesterday!! I just love this project--it's like a family!! I'm sorry I didn't give any details on which decision I was having to make, but I couldn't say anything until I was sure what was going to happen!!

Well, the decision has been made----starting next Monday Miranda will be attending the middle school where I teach!!!! This was a verrrry big decision because she 's going from a small town school(only one junior high) to a school with a population of approx. 1300!!! When I approached her about it I wasn't sure how she would react, but she almost immediately said that she wanted to go!! She's sooo excited about riding to school with me every day (about 40 mins one way) and being at the same school where I teach! I knew I had made the right decision when everything just fell into place--no roadblocks!! All day I have felt in my heart that it is part of God's plan--it feels right! Tonight she had Open House at her current school and we told each teacher that this is her last week. She is really sad about saying bye to them and her friends but also excited about her new adventure. The change is going to be a BIG one for awhile, but I know she will adjust and do just fine!! She is a happy young lady and will make friends easily. It will be so fun seeing her in the hallways!! Can you tell I'm excited too??? :)

(She is wearing one of my old school shirts)

Again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers!! God is Good!!!
That is so great to hear. I think she will adjust quickly, and it is going togive you both a great opportunity to share on your ride to school each day. God is good isn't He?

Wonderful news!! The first thing I thought of was how wonderful the commute will be, as I have always found that the best time to have heart to hearts is in the car!

That time you share in the car eaech day will be a great time for the two of you to share. I know when my Mum and sister shared a similar commute, that was the time when they talked about everything and even discussed ideas for homework. I'm glad you feel you made the right choice and hope next Monday is great day for you and Miranda.

Congrats to both of you :o) What fun you will have in the car together! Hannah used to drive 50 minutes each way to school with her dad and it was such special time for them. He is really missing her now as he makes the drive without her.

Della, it is a wonderful picture and choice. I took our son when he was going into high school, from a small private school to a large public school. He did great. Alot more to learn with more funding for a big school. Anyway,,,,great choice.
