Young Scientists

Every Thursday afternoon Miranda stays after school to work with her group to build their own Solar Mars Rover. In January, there is a competition held at the University of Houston to see which Mars Rover is the best---I believe there are several categories in which they can enter. Miranda's group is calling their rover "Gatorover" since their school mascot is a gator!! They are going to make the rover look like an alligator--I can't wait to see the final product!! As you can tell, they have just started the actual building process. I'm so proud of them for working hard and being so creative!!

**the boy with red hair is actually a national winner whose rover is now at NASA--he and his dad are helping all the groups work on their rovers!!***
Wow! Good for her on being interested and excited about science and technology! I wish I had loved it more in school because it would make me a better teacher now. I hope she learns a lot and maybe even wins! =)

Brilliant to feed the minds of the young like this. We need more scientists in the world.
