Should I admit that this extraordinary advantage point is my office window and that in two and a half year, for the first time a couple of days ago I noticed this amazing play of light and shadows?
Harry Callahan did some amazing photos focusing on the shadows projected by persons.
I had just been reading about Callahan & picked this before reading your caption. He was such a genius with composition! This is a beautuful capture in his style Domenico. fv
@conbell Thank you, Connie! @ltodd Thank you very much, I appreciate that! @kali66 Actually, it's on a quite Busi crossroad, I need to keep it shut all the time because of traffic noise. But when I first discovered the shadows cast by the reflections of the building on the other side of the road I was very happy to open it! @mikegifford Thank you, Mike! @blueberry1222 That's too bad! I couldn't make it without daylight all day long... Also because my working hours usually span from 8,00 am to 8,00 pm, sometime later...
Shadows are difficult to get right Domenico, especially of complicated subjects such as a bike and its rider. You've done a great job with this capturing enough detail to identify it clearly.
@chillen Thank you, Grant! I was lucky that the biker choose that trajectory that allowed the shadow being projected so very neatly in the reflection of the sunset. @bkbinthecity Thank you very much! @s4sayer Merci beaucoup, M.me S.!
