9.06 Bancole di Porto Mantovano - Romantic garden

Another one from the Leica III with the Summar f:2 "nifty fifty". The romantic garden in Villa di Bagno
Very romantic feeling! Love your composition.

Spectacular

lovely framing on this dreamy image. The line of ferns along the bottom creates an effective curtain between the viewer and the view, which suits the romantic feel.

Nice colour and atmosphere

Another one where the soft focus and the muted colours are redolent of an image taken in the camera's heyday.

@jclaireyp Thank you so much, Claire!
@wag864 Using this old lens with color film is a rewarding experience! Thank you!
@overalvandaan Expressly designed and built over the decades for this purpose!

@365street thank you very much! I believe the architect drew his inspiration from the Monet's paintings, indeed. The garden was built at the beginning of the XXth century!

This must be the collapsible summicron? I have both models and don't see much difference from the two....I think you are missing focus a bit. It is hard to get it right in dimmer light.....Perhaps if your finder has a wider option focus with that then stop down.....

@pickerandagrinner It's the collapsible Summar (the Summicron's ancestor). I know, it's quite a challenge to focus, and in that green I couldn't stop down without risking a motion blur - thanks!
