They were singing inside the church of the St. Magnus Abbey built in the Renaissance years. To realise the façade of this wing and a plaza in front of it, the architects thought a good idea to tear down the dome of the middle-age church and fill the apse with the debris, including some precious and rare byzantine frescoes.
I know, it's off center, but Richard @vignouse doesn't allow me to crop... on black the defect is slightly hidden ;-)
@alophoto indeed! But oh so quiet too. @vignouse lol... no blame, but I look forward to editing all these raws I'm letting behind... thanks for the fav and for the fun! @helenhall who knows? Conscience of the need to preserve art and architecture is a relatively recent acquisition!... thanks!
@ludgate I was wondering, effectively, how this could happen... ;-) Thank you so much for the follow, friend! And yes, could say so... or wait the end of September and crop and straighten at will!!!

@s4sayer Too kind of you. Thanks, Margo. @hrs Oh, well, thank you... I love to break the rules, but this was sheer inadvertence... @yaorenliu It is, much more than the photo!
