habit

the light has a habit
of coming around,
entering a little window in the kitchen,
sneaking along the wall,
until
predictable and silent,
it fades furtively into a golden aura,
gives each particle life,
and drifts to sleep
all while we were eating dinner in the living room
with the blinds closed
