Michigan War Dog Memorial

On my drive to golf every Thursday for the past few years I have been going past this memorial. Today I stopped to take a closer look. I didn't count, but I am guessing there were at least 150 headstones for these exceptional K-9's.
The Michigan War Dog Memorial is a non-profit organization that educates the public on the heroics and dedication that K-9's give to serve and protect us. It allows the interment of retired Military Working Dogs and retired Service Dogs. Also provides interment, with full honors, at no cost to the handler/owner.
Today the War Dog is referred to as Military Working Dog (MWD) and there are currently 600 teams deployed saving lives every day.
A wonderful memorial and dog owners would be happy to have their companions recognised!
