Blue Ice and Mackinaw Bridge (Michigan)

The Mackinaw Bridge connects the upper and lower peninsulas in Michigan. Lake Michigan is west of the bridge and Lake Huron is east.

Rare blue ice is usually only seen in the Arctic but it has come to Michigan's Mackinac Straits. The blue is fading and not as brilliant as last weekend, but it was still a spectacular sight. This isn't the first time that Michigan has seen blue ice, but it's pretty rare to get so much. A great way to spend the weekend!

If you google Michigan Blue Ice you will find some amazing drone fly overs which will give you a much better perspective of the size of this beautiful and rare sight
Great capture of this blue ice...interesting info...great composition in capturing the bridge in the background
