2016.01.27 Wednesday: Sunset this evening was filled with brilliantly vivid tones. As soon as I glanced outdoors and saw it, I grabbed my camera and went running out into the quite brisk cold to capture this gorgeous sight! Shortly after I started taking photos, I heard the "honk-honk; honk-honk!" of a flock of Canada geese coming -- and was thrilled with they flew almost directly overhead!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, perfect timing!!! Love the geese silhouettes and the beautiful sunset colors!! What kind of tree is that in the middle? Sort of looks like a weeping willow. I like it!! Beautiful view and photo! FAV!
@cashew Thanks! The tree in the middle is a weeping cherry. We planted it slightly over a year ago; the Japanese beetles almost stripped the foliage last summer, but we are armed and ready to defeat the beetles next summer. I am looking forward to seeing its beauty when it grows up!
Ohhh, this is gorgeous and even more special on black! What great timing for the geese to enter the scene. Your excitement comes through in your wonderful commentary. FAV!
