2016.07.16 Saturday: We planted several varieties and colors of sunflowers this year ...from single-flowered to double-flowered, and from miniature varieties to some that are supposed to grow up to 18-foot tall.
This flower is atop a plant so tall that I could not get a clear view of it, but I did my best because so far it is the only dark flower that we have seen. I love this color -- and it is especially beautiful against the wonderfully blue summer sky!
