Nighttime in the Sunflower Garden

2016.07.20 Wednesday: This week we are experiencing our hottest weather of the year so far ...Daytime temperatures of 102 degrees F (38.9 degrees C) with a heat index of 112 F! Our nighttime temps are a little better: At 9:30 p.m. it is 82 degrees F (27.8 degrees C).

The only time that I ventured outdoors today I found the weather to be hot, humid, oppressive, and stifling ...so I did not stay outdoors long enough to get any photos. I ventured back outdoors at night and went down to our sunflower garden for today's photo.

I was pleased that the flowers are as beautiful at night as they are during the day!

We had a cool spell here..only 88 for a couple of days but now it is back up to the high 90's and then 100's for the weekend. I am ready for fall!
