Adjusting

2016.11.07 Monday: At 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, we changed from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time. Each autumn this is a hard adjustment for me because I miss the extra hour of daylight in the evening that we enjoyed all summer long.

This afternoon at 4:45 p.m. I glanced out a window and was surprised to see that the sun was already setting and darkness was swiftly falling. I grabbed my camera and ran outdoors to take photos of this too-quickly-falling sunset. By 5:00 p.m. it was completely dark outdoors -- and winter hasn't even started yet!
But then - think of the fact it is time to draw the curtains and be snug inside!

Why can't we just drop the whole silly business!

A lovely sky. I'm glad that Western Australia doesn't have daylight saving. In Summer the sun rises at around 5 o'clock and sets after 7.

@maggiemae Thanks for helping me look at the situation in a more positive light, Maggiemae! This evening I tried focusing on how snug it is to be indoors enjoying a good warm supper -- It was a very nice feeling!

A lovely capture. I hate daylight saving because it gets dark so early.
