2016.11.08 Tuesday: After months of waiting, Voting Day has finally arrived!
We arrived at the polling place 70 minutes before they opened -- and were 2nd and 3rd in line! (In previous years we've spent 4+ hrs in line, slowly inching towards the door step by step!)
This year we voted on our choice for President and Vice President of the United States, several justices on our state's Supreme Court and Judicial Circuit, County Commissioners, our district's Senator and Representative in the federal Congress... and 14 amendments to our state's Constitution!
It was a beautiful sunrise, and we had a nice time talking with people we haven't seen in a while. However, it is a relief to finally have this over!
