2016.11.28 Monday: We experienced strong winds and heavy rain today ...This first time that this has happened since last spring. Leaves fell from our trees all day long, covering our deck and the entire two acres of our yard.
Despite the winds, I ventured outdoors to sweep our deck -- and was pelted with falling autumn leaves the whole time that I futilely tried to clear it. I will get out and sweep it again once the storms pass, but for now I decided to simply enjoy the view.
We (i.e. Mr C) are waiting until there are no more leaves left to fall.
Am I going crazy or have you suddenly decided to be Dinah instead of DS? I'm pleased because Dinah is a lovely name and after you told me some time ago that that was your name I didn't know whether or not I should use it. Now I know I can.
@susiemc Now that I'm about to start my third year here, I decided to update my profile, and decided that I would rather use my name than my initials now :). "Dinah" is an uncommon name in my area -- but maybe that's a good thing!
We've about decided to just wait until all the leaves have fallen, also; but by then it's usually too cold to work outdoors. We have heard rumors of a Siberian cold front (!!!) headed our way that could arrive in mid-December; if so, I'll just wait and let the wind blow the leaves away!
@dsp2 Dinah is not a common name here either but that IS a good thing. I don't know anyone with that name except you (and the jazz singer). I love it. At least it isn't a name that no-one knows how to spell or pronounce.
