Red-bellied Woodpecker

2017.01.17 Tuesday: This afternoon I heard a loud, plaintive call that alerted me to the fact that a Red-bellied woodpecker was near. They are one of my top-favorite birds, so I quickly ran to the window to see if I could spot him ...and I was delighted to see that he was busily feeding on suet from one of my nearby feeders.
