Forlorn

2017.01.19 Thursday: Rain fell for most of the day -- at times it was just a drizzle, but for most of the day it was rather hard rain. At lunchtime four female House finches all came to our feeder as a group, huddling together around the food.

This rather bedraggled one, however, broke away from the group and perched atop our deck for a few minutes, looking around at the falling rain and seeming rather forlorn.

At least the weather was warm, and this rain is forecast to end tomorrow. I expect to see her more perky then!
