Underground Home

2017.02.12 Sunday: A nearby neighborhood has beautiful homes and landscaping, with gorgeous views -- but also has several rather steep hills. Although I have a close neighbor who jogs there every day, I do not usually venture through that area on my walk due to the steepness in grade, and also because several of the inhabitants do not fence-in their dogs.

This weekend, though, my husband and I decided that it would be good for us to start including these hills into some of our walks ...so we cheerfully began the climb and were quite pleasantly surprised to find that we are now in good enough shape that the hills weren't too bothersome.

The neighborhood has several underground homes built into the sides of the hills ...I always enjoy seeing this one and imagining what it would be like to live in it.
Really cool!

THAT is totally amazing! Like you, I'd be dying to know what it was like!!! One of our members, Megan Ludgate @ludgate lived a while in Iceland where many homes were like this. I believe she may have provided a link to see what some looked like inside. I'd have to totally rework my thought processes! Since coming home in December, and having some health issues, nearly my entire album(s) is filled with backyard photos.... not sure I could be happy without that! Thanks for sharing this, and good for you for stepping up you walks!

How unusual! I can't quite imagine what that would be like, but it certainly garners interest and curiosity!
