2017.09.10 Sunday: We are still enjoying unseasonably cool weather, so we decided to go for an afternoon walk at Adtran. As we arrived, we were thrilled to notice this beautiful Double-crested cormorant perched near the shore.
Although cormorants are plentiful in this region, I have never gotten this close to one before ...Even though he kept a close eye on us, it was a special treat that he allowed us to approach within several yards for pics!
