Santa's Workshop

2017.12.07 Thursday: The ornaments on our tree mostly have special memories attached ...Many are from when our sons were young; others were bought on trips that we enjoyed through the years.

This ornament was bought while we were on vacation in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee area ...One of our favorite places to visit! They have a year-round Christmas Shoppe there, filled with beautiful and interesting ornaments.

I especially liked this one because my husband and sons enjoy camping, and did so quite often when they were in the Royal Rangers. The Swiss Army Knife ornament seemed a perfect memento to help remember those days.
We have many ornaments with special memories as well. My favorite is an angel my daughter made in preschool. If I remember tomorrow I will post a photo of it.

What a wonderful way to remember their love of camping...such a special ornament! Decorating the tree is like a walk down memory lane...a real blessing!

This is really clever, I love it. Lots of our Christmas tree ornaments have special memories. We try and buy one new one each year.

I love this cute Swiss Army Knife ornament...it would be perfect for my husband because for as long as I've known him, he's had a Swiss Army Knife and uses it regularly. He just used it today to open a package that arrived in the mail. One of the things I love about Christmas is going through the ornament bins and taking a walk down memory lane, as Janet commented. :-)
