Sandhill Cranes at Wheeler NWR

Sandhill Cranes at Wheeler NWR: This is a video from our recent visit to Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). The last bird count by Wheeler NWR staff lists 28,833 Sandhill cranes and 20 Whooping cranes as living on the refuge at this time.

I forgot to take my tripod on this trip, so the video quality is not as good as I would like (I thought that I was standing perfectly still, but obviously wasn't!) ...but I am posting this for the wonderful sound that the cranes make, and to give an idea of how many of these awesome birds were visible from my vantage point.
Thank you for sharing this video Dinah it is heart warming to see so many Sandhill Cranes :)
