Politician with pigeon

This pigeon is using the statue of John Hampden in Market Square, Aylesbury as a look-out post.
I've had to tinker with my shot because the light's been so bad here today.

I love the way that the pigeon is so close in colour to the statue that it might almost be a part of it.

@bigsusan55 Are we sure it is a live bird? Being a crazy brown bea,r I want to think the statue was made that way. I have to Google John Hampden to see if he wasn't the birdman of Aylesbury.

I agree with Susan and Alice, Did you see the pigeon move... looks like it's part of the statue.

I checked him out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hampden and he was not wearing his feathered headgear. Maybe the cap is a more recent addition?
