A drake really. Lester and I went to Osterley Park for lunch and a walk today. Mandarin drakes are so wonderfully coloured and marked that they are almost incredible. The ducks have the same crisp, clear markings as the drake but in monochromatic browns.

Thank you :-) I got lucky with the water patterns. These Mandarins swim at a helluva rate and I had to concentrate on him so much I wasn't thinking about the water, and it just happened.
