In the shadows

I went to Berkhamsted today to go to the hairdresser's, but first I dropped Lester just outside the town so that he could go for a walk. I had about three quarters of an hour to fill between the two missions, so I took a walk along the High Street. I spotted this pigeon hiding underneath one of those cast iron benches that are made to fit round the trunks of trees. I thought he looked rather fetching in the shadows of the seat slats.
