Stowe snow by dulciknit

Stowe snow

Thank you very much to everyone who showed interest in my pigeons shot. It's very kind of you to take the time to look/comment.

Works better on large view. This is the third time I've tried posting this. If I still haven't got the crop right, I give up (throws toys out of pram). Everytime I crop it, it looks fine on the view I get in Picasa (our storing facility). Then when I put it up here, it looks all wrong!

Sorry. Tantrum over. :-)

Lester and I took a drive to Stowe Landscape Gardens near Buckingham today. They are part of the grounds of a famous public (fee-paying) school and are maintained by the National Trust. When we got there we found that the NT had temporarily closed the gardens because of the ice and snow. We wandered around the perimeter of the new Visitor Centre and into the new cafe instead. I can recommend the cheese scones. :-)
I don't know where this couple had come from; perhaps there is a public right of way. It was very kind of them to happen along just when they did.

Very snowy, and great composition

I enjoy the vertical elements and the curving lines in this. Great in B&W.

This is lovely and I like the way the composition carries the eye along with the walkers.

I dont know what you're aiming for but it looks perfect to me! I love the contrast of the tree stakes against the white, and the diagonal leads the eye up to the wakers.

A lovely composition. The tree stakes lead my eyes to the walkers and then I could see the path went around the corner and made me wonder where it leads to. Another place to put on my list and will note the cheese scones.
