This morning (Tuesday) Lester and I went to the supermarket. We normally go on Mondays but we'd both been out for the day on Monday, so the food shop got postponed. In the afternoon I had to go to the health centre to sort out my repeat prescription because I'd lost the request form. On the way back I took this shot of newly emerging leaves on one of the Horse Chestnut trees that live in the road next to ours. I love textures and found those of the leaves and tree trunk very pleasing.

They have such lovely crinkled, but clearly patterned leaves, don't they. Do you get the horrible bug later in the summer, that makes them go all spotty, then brown?
