Trapped

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my shots, and for the kind comments.

It rained very nearly all day today. It stopped very briefly this morning. I went into the garden. No nice drips.
I couldn't think of anything to do for a shot until 10.30pm. The experiment with the CD and the skein winder didn't work.
Then I thought - I'll find a way of grouping those little wooden ornaments and lighting them. They looked fine until I viewed the shots and noticed the shadows being cast were a very unfortunate shape.
VERY unfortunate. :-)
By that time it was 5 minutes past midnight. Too late anyway, so I gave up and went to bed.

So here's a shot from yesterday. This rhododendron flower looked quite fresh, so I guess it must have got blown off the bush, rather than just falling, before landing in the tree stump.
Another one with a desperate shot! And it has turned out beautifully with the delicate lilac flower against the roughness of the wood

You made this into a very sweet shot - Love this flower with its neat "fingers" and pretty markings.
