Shells mkII

Another one of those pIease view large ones, if you have a moment. Thank you.:-)
I first took a shot of this shell way back in March* and thought at the time that it would be nice to show a different aspect of it in a different way one day . Nearly 5 months later I finally got round to doing it.
It's a beginner's go at lighting an object by 'painting' it with a beam from a torch (flashlight).

To each and every one who stops by/comments on my photos, a heartfelt thank you.

A lovely shot of the shell and beautiful reflection. It has striking and strong markings. It looks quite different to the previous shot, almost like a different shell. The dark background sets it off very dramatically.

Two very beautiful images, this one is so dark and dramatic and beautifully reflected, the other showing so much detail. Both are lovely.

It is a lovely dramatic image, Alison. I like the black background to show it off to its greatest advantage. Interesting pattern in the shell - the mollusc who inhabited it must have been a bit of a chav!

How clever! It seems to be almost floating in space. I wonderful dramatic photo - and one that's taught me something new to try some day. Thank you!
