It's goodbye from us

Please view large for detail if you have a moment. Thank you.

This is a detail of a shop window in Aylesbury. Its latest tenants sold party goods but went out of business last year and left this farewell notice in the window along with the heads, named and detailed, to represent each of the people who ran the shop/worked there. I think it's a sweet, poignant and brave final gesture. I hope they're faring well, wherever they are now.
The shop remains unused.

Edit. All the components in this shot were there already but I did quite a lot of editing to get it looking the way I wanted. (e.g there were loads of grotty reflections that I couldn't get away from including some annoying person with a camera)
Great capture.

The heads look appropriately sorrowful. A rather nice way to bow out though! I do like the way you have presented the picture.

Oh, it is touching. Wow. They were brave in the face of adversity. I hope they are all doing well. I loved your last comment about some photog in the reflection. hee hee

Pity you took out all of the reflections, a few would've added extra life to the display I feel. It looks a little flat as it is now. It is quite a neat leaving display. Gone, but not forgotten. Jan seems to be the Dali of the bunch. :)
