You have caught the brightness and sparkle of the water well. The b/w gives it a silvery sparkle, almost like a metallic thread. The moorhen really stands out well against it, as do the rocks. I remember the light was almost too bright here, you have captured the scene well.

Love the perspective here, Alison - even though he's so tiny, your eye goes right to him Terrific textures - the glistening from the water is wonderful.

Excellent textures and sparkles. Love the idea and the shot. The fact that I am left slightly perplexed about the texture is not a problem. I like to leave people thinking why take that angle, why that texture. It is a comment on the world and provokes thought. That is one of the ways you draw in your viewer.
