well alison , it may not be abstract , but it does have that "Alison feel" to it. I bet you could make loads of photos from a church exterior (it does have a feel of a church)

Lovely comp of textures, tones and lines. the crop on the round columns give them a different width making them seem quite different but I think they are nearly the same by the look of the rings around them. The centre post is a good foil in shape and colour. Well thought out. Fav

This is an interesting detail. I like the idea. Not sure that that you have made enough of the curves here tho'. The work is good, but I think that the curves, for me anyway, are important to getting the feel for this and a little more each side would have satisfied that feeling for me.
